Semano S.M. Beheer B.V. respects your privacy. This statement explains which personal data we process, why, and what rights you have.
Who we are
Semano S.M. Beheer B.V., Funenpark 457, 1018 AK Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42034479, is the controller for the processing described in this statement. You can reach us at semano@semano.nl.
What data we process
- Contact form and email: name, company, email address, phone number (if provided), country, topic and your message.
- Clients and business contacts: contact and billing details and the correspondence needed for our services.
- Technical data: our hosting provider automatically records data such as your IP address, the time and your browser type with every visit. This is needed to keep the website secure and working.
Why we use this data
- To respond to your question and make you a proposal (legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract and our legitimate interest).
- To perform our contract with you (legal basis: performance of a contract).
- To meet legal obligations, such as the statutory retention of tax records (legal basis: legal obligation).
- To secure the website and prevent misuse (legal basis: legitimate interest).
We do not use your data for marketing without your consent and never sell it to third parties. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing.
How long we keep data
- Messages via the contact form or email that do not lead to a collaboration: up to 12 months after they are handled.
- Client data: for the duration of the collaboration, and afterwards as long as the law requires (for accounting records, generally 7 years).
- Technical logs: as briefly as possible, in line with our hosting provider's policy.
Who we share data with
We only share data where necessary: with our hosting and email provider, which runs the website and email for us, and with advisers such as our accountant. We have a data processing agreement with parties that process data on our behalf. We do not transfer your data to countries outside the European Economic Area.
Data we process for clients
In our management work we sometimes process personal data of our clients' employees, applicants or customers. We do so as a processor, on behalf of that client and under a data processing agreement. The client is then the controller for that processing.
Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your data. The website uses a secure connection (https) and only authorised persons have access to your data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to processing, ask us to restrict it or request a copy of your data to transfer. Send your request to semano@semano.nl. We respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the data protection authority in your own country.
